What are some recent collections by Versace?

Versace brings bold maximalism to menswear. When it comes to bold fashion, Versace menswear is in a class of its own. The iconic Italian luxury house has consistently pushed the boundaries of men's style with bold and limitless designs. Their recent collections double down on Versace's signature bold maximalism.

Donatella Versace released a lively "Grevyo!" for spring-summer 2023 - a collection that playfully mixed energetic summer references with elegant Italian tailoring. Board shorts and tight swimwear arrived, featuring the house's signature Greco-Roman prints and baroque motifs, rendered in electric blues, greens and fuchsias. Boxer jackets and relaxed knits contribute to the simplicity of warm weather clothing, but still exude Versace's innocent dressing attitude.

The fall-winter 2023 collection "Enchanted" brought Versace's maximalist menswear to a luxurious neo-baroque dreamscape. Luxurious jacquard patterns, ornate floral damasks and gilded embroidery adorn everything from cropped bombers and capes to stylish leather pants and kilts. Each look blurred the lines between street style and aristocratic royalty through unbridled luxury. Even Versace's Greek-inspired label, La Greca, got an eye-catching all-over print. The real highlight, however, was the brand's sexy underwear inspired by sheer mesh, lace, silk and sheer chiffon. Floral lace boxers, sheer camisoles and crystal mesh shirts challenge archaic notions of gendered clothing, yet embody the bold spirit of Versace.

These pieces were meant to be worn proudly as outerwear and leave little to the imagination. With each provocative new collection, Versace continues to push the boundaries of extravagant menswear. Equal parts irreverent attitude and luxuriously crafted label pieces are designed to subvert convention, turning everyman into a rugged runway icon. Understatement is simply not part of the Versace men's vocabulary.
